Professional biography
Hind Abdo is the founder of Facultas Advisory and a senior risk advisor with more than 17 years of experience across banking, financial markets, institutional investing and risk management. She advises financial institutions and institutional investors on enterprise risk management and risk appetite frameworks, integrated risk governance, climate risk governance and scenario analysis, and independent review and challenge of risk frameworks, analytics and decision materials.
Hind began her career in credit and lending analysis, assessing the financial and operational profiles of SMEs and larger corporations. She later moved into institutional investment risk, evaluating risks across public and private markets, investment funds, portfolio companies and a range of industry sectors. This gave her an integrated perspective on the financial, strategic and non-financial risks that shape business and investment decisions.
Her experience also includes banking supervision at OSFI. It informs her understanding of prudential expectations, governance and the evidence behind risk decisions.
Her approach is senior-led, practical and focused. She helps clients translate complex risk information into governance and decisions for management, boards, audit and supervisory review.
